Tinu Abayomi-Paul is a marketer fighting cancer, and she’s not afraid to say so. She shares her story of courage and tenacity with our community on this episode of The Heart of Marketing. You see, because Tinu is a marketer and entrepreneur, she is the primary breadwinner for her family. She is one of the smartest and most generous marketers we know, as well. Do you hear of communities banding together to help those in need?
This episode is her story and our gift to her to more widely share that story and help make the ask for Tinu to fund her cancer treatment. While this is a cancer fundraising story with a marketing twist, it’s uplifting to hear because Tinu shares strength and gives each of us permission to ask about Cancer with a capital C. Cancer sucks and there’s not a day that goes by without each of learning of someone’s plight with cancer or chronic disease.
Will you please help donate to Tinu’s cause?
Tinu has a page at Give Forward that her friends set up. She shares images of chemo and updates of her progress. On her page, she provides levels of need so donors can select which level of giving should go to which level of need (like medication, treatment or housekeeping). Her journey ahead is uncertain, and that’s why we’re jumping in to help encourage a bit of giving to alleviate the pressure Tinu feels about her forced semi-retirement. If you can’t give money, then perhaps you can make a meal or send over the housekeeper; there are oodles of ways to assist even across the miles.
Because our show is the HEART of MARKETING, we could not say no to this heartful story of a marketer who is fighting cancer who needs you.
The Give Forward campaign will continue until Tinu’s goal is reached, and then it may even continue after that. She does have a long road ahead with medical needs that remain unknown. Even $10 will help.
