Visual marketing is a new trend, and you’re gonna like this episode; trust me. You’ll listen and nod and say “wow, yes, that’s right,” all in sync with our guest, Kevin Weiers, a visual brand marketer who works magic for the mega church with which he’s affiliated.
Kevin (and our #RockHot co-host John Gregory Olson) attend Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. It’s a little city; in fact, it’s like a large corporation. There are about 10,000 customers, two-to-three hundred staff and internal marketing teams that function like an agency. While John is a videographer operating cams and production for weekly services, Kevin has hands full with managing a large full-time staff, a part-time staff and interns. The teams are managing all email communications, newsletters and bulletins, and the visual marketing with video at all the events and services.
The best thing about what Kevin has to say, though, is his smart insight into what goes on at Living Word Christian Center. What’s more, you can cookie cutter Kevin’s tips from the church directly into your very own marketing, seamlessly. All the tips you’ll hear are oriented to customer engagement, graphic design, rebranding, visual marketing, and teamwork.
Tips From A Visual Marketing Expert
1. Get a response. Marketing is all about earning a response and rebranding is not always the answer.
2. Brand consistency is important across all the channels.
3. Empower the client and customer to evoke emotion.
4. Ask for feedback! Before a rebranding, which can easily fail, do the research.
5. Make a connection to the vision.
