When you say thank you, everything changes. People hear you more gratefully; your heart sings with appreciation; you recognize others for their gift; and, you are more aligned with heart marketing in business.
Sometimes when you say thank you, it’s oriented to your culture. We talk on this episode about many Asian cultures very oriented to gift-giving as a way to show genuine gratitude. I like this story we shared about professional tennis players on a fan trip to Asia getting lauded with gifts for themselves, their babies, and their pets, too!
We do a good job (in this month of November when we give thanks for the Pilgrims and Indians who dined at Plymouth Rock) talking about the thank you on Twitter for reshares, and the power of a gift that can be either a negative manipulation or a positive influence of genuine and authentic thanks. While saying thank you isn’t an exact part of our 5 Pillars of Heart Marketing, we do need to recognize customer delight that comes from helpfulness.
There’s not too much to write about when you say thank you, but there is certainly a reason for John Gregory Olson and me, Jayme Soulati, to express sincerely how much we appreciate YOU, our own fans and listeners. We thank you for your time to hear us wax and guffaw about this very disrupted space in marketing. We HEART YOU!
